Founders' Day

On behalf of Co-Chairs Dr. Clare Ollayos and Meghan Early, thank you for joining us for the 2025 ECC Foundation’s Founders' Day Brunch on September 13th in the Jobe Lounge at Elgin Community College. 
 
We are thrilled to announce that the event raised nearly $60,000 in support of ECC student scholarships. Your support and generosity were overwhelming. We were thrilled to sell out of the delicious cupcakes offered as part of our Cupcake Bliss, Hit or Miss and we awarded two fabulous raffle packages and 11 auction prizes to lucky winners. We also enjoyed a visit from Dorothy and Toto, the music of Murna Hansemann and Charmaine McAllister and celebrating our five honorees – Michael Storey, Brian Garbrecht, Jaime Hjelm/Wicked Wrench Co. and Carolyn Kirk-Likou and Manny Likou.

The support of the many people who not only joined us at the event but of the student volunteers, the committee members, faculty and staff is overwhelming and greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us celebrate that there is truly “No Place Like ECC!”
